Milled Anhydrite

Anhydrite is anhydrous calcium sulphate (CaSO4). Milled anhydrite is used in various applications of the building industry as a raw material for non-cement self-levelling floors and acoustic insulating plasterboards. The usage of milled anhydrite for self-levelling floors is continuously increasing since it offers great advantages in terms of laying savings. Anhydrite is also used in the fertiliser industry.

Anhydrite is obtained by the chemical reaction of fluorspar (CaF2) and sulphuric acid (H2SO4) in the hydrofluoric acid (HF) production.

Fluorsid produces over 100,000 MT/y of milled anhydrite, operating four milling units in parallel.

Milled anhydrite is available in bulk (silo trucks, containers and bulk vessels) or in 1 MT and 1.5 MT big bags.
