The Democratic Republic of Congo, a vast country with immense natural resources, has been at the centre of what could be termed Africa's world war. This has left the country in the grip of a humanitarian crisis amongst which it is estimated that a number of 25,000 children live out on Kinshasa’s streets.

The Congolese population up to the age of eighteen is composed by around 34 million people (54% of the population).  Children under 5 years of age are about 13 million.  UNICEF has ascertained that only 34% of the youngsters has been registered at birth, 10% of the children does not live with their parents and 24% of the minors work.

With the spirit to grant more than one hundred children with a proven alternative to living on the streets and to avoiding exploitation of their labour, Fluorsid is dynamically supporting the creation and the development of an INTER Campus in Kinshasa.  It is our belief that children should be given their right to go back to play and INTER Campus Congo is definitely a good instrument to allow them to enjoy playing football.

On top of Fluorsid main sponsorship, ICEI Milano (Institute of International Economic Cooperation) is actively raising funds for this project.  For more information, please visit:
